Cricket Bat Size Chart: Which Size Bat Should You Buy?

Using the right size bat matters more than the brand or price. A bat that is too long or heavy slows your swing, hurts your technique and can cause wrist and shoulder strain, especially for growing players. Use this chart to find the right size, then message us on WhatsApp at 0341-3005977 if you are between two sizes.

Heights are a guide; go by height rather than age.

How to check the size in the shop

  • Stand straight and rest the bat’s toe next to your foot. The top of the handle should reach your hip bone or just below.
  • Take a normal stance. If the bat feels hard to pick up quickly, it is too heavy, even if the length is right.
  • Hold the bat out in front of you with one hand for 10 seconds. If your wrist drops, choose a lighter bat.

Weight matters too

Most adult bats weigh between 2 lb 7 oz and 2 lb 12 oz. Younger and lighter players should start at the lighter end and move up as they get stronger. Heavier bats give more power but only if you can control them.
